Dondra Burton was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and developed the love of hair at a young age. In 2004, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Prairie View A&M University with the hopes of owning her own salon one day. She then went on to beauty school at Tint School of Makeup and Cosmetology where she gained her cosmetology license and also worked as a teacher in a public school. In 2018, Dondra earned a Master's of Education from Ashford University while continuing to work as a teacher and stylist. Dondra's fondness of education and hair led her to take the path of becoming a licensed cosmetology instructor and later on an Advanced Hair Loss Specialist. In 2020, she started her own business, Hair Sew Gorgeous, which offers medical grade wigs, hair extensions, and products. After seeing so many hair and scalp problems behind the chair, Dondra became a certified Trichologist to help clients understand the health of their hair and create solutions that work.

Dondra's passion for healthy hair and educating others led her to start HSG Healthy Hair LLC in 2022. HSG Healthy Hair LLC offers services that help clients get to the root cause of their hair challenges and develop solutions that work. On April 1, 2023, Dondra opened the doors to HSG Healthy Hair Studios in Red Oak, TX and offered salon suites to other beauty professionals who take pride in the integrity of your hair, skin, and nails.
